Iowa High School Football Coach Was Shot And Killed

The football coach at Aplington-Parkersburg high school was shot and killed, in the presents of
50 students. Coach Ed Thomas was 58 years old and had just completed his 37th year of coaching.
Coach Thomas had and outstanding winning record including 2 state titles. He also had 4 former
players in the NFL. Coach Thomas was shot multiple times in the weight room at the school. Non
of the students present were injured.

About 20 people in the weight room witnessed the shooting. Authorities have in custody one
24 year old Mark Becker a former student and football player. He has been charged with first degree-murder. Mark Becker is being held at the Butler County jail. No motive for the shooting has been released.

Jon And Kate Are Breaking Up

When I first heard they were having marital problems, a couple of months ago
it felt like this was a publicity stunt, as those tabloid tailspins offer are. They
can't be breaking up Jon is so dedicated to Kate and the kids. This had to be
a stunt to increase their audience. Well silly me. They filed the papers in
Montgomery county, Pa. June 22, and announced it on the show that night.

Had I taken the time to really get into the show it was apparent Jon was more
annoyed with Kate' s demanding and stubborn way. He seamed to be distant.

Jon and Kate feel they will be able to continue filming the series. They will each
film segments separately. This raises many questions. Will the viewers stick
with the show? The big question of course is how will this affect the children?

They both seem to be committed to the kids and what's in their best interest.
We will see how this up folds and if a custody battle begins. It's not really a
slam dunk that Kate will get custody if Jon want's to fight.
